Why are the reviews so low here???
I just got "caterer" lunch (carter in quotes because they don't cater unless it's 20-25 but I bought enough for 13 at least I hope I did).
I went in a figured because I wasn't going to stay for lunch that I would buy my own. The owner (?) very friendly Caucasian woman told me to sample anything, that the paneer is amazing. Which it TOTALLY is.
Everything that I've tried so far is DELICIOUS, so so delicious. It's a bummer it's not buffet, but apparently they have new lunch specials everyday.
They have a pretty big private parking lot which is nice. And I can't tell if the portions are generous but I can't wait to eat my lunch! -

THIS is great Indian food. The thali plate is a great deal and they always have a great selection. The lemon chicken is really flavorful, as is the chili chicken. My son loves the garlic naan.
The staff is friendly and helpful. There aren't many Indian restaurants in SW Portland so I'm really happy there's a good one. -

Our dinner started with complimentary papadum served with a daal-like sauce. It was a nice surprise but the papadum had a slightly leathery texture which could've been helped by popping it in the toaster oven for a minute or 2.
I thought the food was a bit overpriced. $14 each for saag chicken and vegetable korma.
Having said that the saag chicken was good. Chicken was moist and saag was creamy with a nice spice blend but it didn't have that subtle nuttiness. Vegetable korma was too sweet with a weird thick starchy consistency.
Service was great. Ambience is nice. I may go back since it is hard to find Indian restaurants S of Portland but I would stay away from the kormas. -

The husband and I travel 40 minutes one way to come here. The place is absolutely amazing and i just now realized that i have not reviewed this place until now. By no means do i consider myself an expert on Indian food but i do know this.... this is dam good food. The tikka masala is rich and creamy with soft perfectly cooked pieces of chicken that they make sure you get plenty of. Finally was able to try the lamb curry and it is everything i expected, seasoned to perfection with lamb that was cooked with an attitude. The price is extremely reasonable for a Sunday, three choices, Rice, Naan & a drink for $12.

This is my favorite spot in PDX for Indian food. It's a family-owned restaurant, the service is consistently good and the food is always tasty.
Some of my favorite dishes are Chicken Vindaloo and Dahl.
